Ars Poetica 2.0: The Magicians Are Back At Work!

Imagine yourself seated in a tattoo studio. Do you hear the humming of a machine carving art on your body? Ink and ideas put together on your skin. Put some poets in that ambiance and they ink those words beneath your skin. What do you.

Imagine yourself seated in a tattoo studio. Do you hear the humming of a machine carving art on your body? Ink and ideas put together on your skin. Put some poets in that ambiance and they ink those words beneath your skin.

What do you do,
when your mouth is full of broken sentences, alphabets drip off your fingers,
heart craves for creativity and
soul bleeds poetry?

I tell you. You end up being a part of some poetry session and drench yourself with words.

But, my friends, this was not just any poetry session you’d think of.  It was a lot more than just words weaved rhythmically and recited traditionally. A unique blend of poems and performance over a myriad of emotions was perfectly presented as “Ars Poetica 2.0” by Bhubaneswar Poetry Club in association with SKIVAS on the eve of Pre-Diwali.

With green Diwali doing rounds everywhere, it was the turn of the poets to make it wonderful with words and color the ambience with the hue of happiness.
The session enjoyed beautiful sunset with even beautiful collection of thoughts that mostly revolved around the theme of ‘CELEBRATION’. However, the session also witnessed “frustration”, “love”, “words”, “poets”, “Srinagar” and so on, take shape through the vision of a writer. The multilingual approach stayed intact as the English-only barrier was pushed to no language bar, enthralling the mass with some awe-inspiring write-ups.

The best part was the coming together of two very different fields of art, creating something beautiful together. SKIVAS, the only BMC setup for tattoo fashion hosted the event with lovely spirit, high enthusiasm and an enchanting backdrop.

This was the second time Bhubaneswar Poetry Club made a bunch of misfits weave magic through their words and we look forward to such soothing sessions to calm the chaos next month too.
For these misfits are the reason imagination is true.
