The world looks like one huge messy place. With conflicts across different regions due to politics, religion and various other reasons, the Rath Yatra celebrations across the world provide a glimmer of hope to mankind and prove why we are all a part of one big family.
In 2016, the Lord’s grace was not restricted to Odisha alone. The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was celebrated in 192 countries, spanning across continents, that is equal to the total member states of the United Nations.
It’s not an empty ritual or a mere imitation of a remote historical event, it’s a manifestation of the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).
Here’s a glimpse of few photos from the celebrations across the globe:

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) community across the globe plays a great role in organizing this mega event.
At a time when ethnic/religious conflicts and extremist violence are threatening to destabilise societies, celebrations like this will serve as the perfect antidote to stem such negative tendencies and move us to a path of harmony and peace.
As people around the world sing, dance and unite in celebration, it’s time for ‘the dawn of a new era of PEACE’
