Whoa! So this is what it was like to be the part of Eastern India’s largest B-School fest!
Putting all speculations and conjectures to rest, the first day of XIMB’s 15th edition of Xpressions proved out to be a grand success. The campus atmosphere was a sight to be cherished with exhilarated participants from all over the country, jazzy decorations, vibrant colors, fancy events, rocking music and enthusiastic volunteers. One can only rove in a state of awe and inevitably salute the whole XIMB fraternity who have made it sure that there is no stone unturned. The first day of Xpressions’13 began with one of its stupendous flagship event the Gladiator which is basically a business simulation game and marked with a pompous participation.
Similar was the response to Kurukshetra, another flagship event which dates its legacy back to 1994 before the birth of Xpressions. A two day business simulation game, the Kurukshetra has four modules namely, the Marketing, Operations, HR and Finance with new set of rules every year. The game that the Aditya Birla group once wanted to buy
for its in-house training is yet to be cracked!
Then there was Helios, another business simulation game, but for the undergraduates and Skill City which puts the management skills of participants into real test. Apart from that there was Goonj, the solo singing event. But the event that must have made an impact on everyone present as an audience was Aaghaz (Nukkad Naatak). With street play scaffolding the burning and sensitive issues of society like Women rights the effort of the participating groups was worth applauding. And after experiencing all such exuberant stuff when one is about to say ‘What Next!’ there came Carnival De Vogue, the much awaited fashion parade event organized in association with Channel [V] which marked gorgeous ladies and handsome hunks from different colleges walking down the ramp with a sense of fashion that made the audience laud and cheer in appreciation.
The day might have ended but the festivities is still on!
