With the temperatures soaring in the twin-cities to as much as 47 degrees, the sun takes a toll over your complexion and you are looking (read: googling, pestering your mom, grandmom, et al) for ways to get rid of the extra tan.
Unless you are fine with roaming around in sun-burnt skin,we offer you five quick and easy ways to De-Tan yourself instantly with ingredients right from your kitchen!
1. Almost all of us drink lassi to beat the summer heat but did you know that curd’s got some bleaching and De-Tanning properties?
What To Do: Wash your face with ice cold water, take 2-3 tablespoons of curd..apply directly on the tanned portions.Keep for 2-3 minutes the wash off with cold water .You’ll see a brighter you instantly!
2. Hate curd? No problem!
Here’s another remedy: Take 2-3 tablespoons of wheat flour,water,4-5 drops of mustard oil and make a paste . Apply this and leave on for 2-3 mins and wash-off! You are all done!
3. Like salads – tomatoes?
Instead of chopping a tomato into a salad bowl try squeezing it out and apply it on your face. You might even directly rub the slices onto your face.Leave for 1-2 minutes and wash off with cold water.
4. Simply “scrub” it off!!
Often we appear darker due to the dust and grime settled on the skin . To remove it use “gram flour” a.k.a “besan”.Make a paste of2-3 tablespoons of the flour,some milk(people with oily skin can skip this),a pinch of turmeric and water. Apply this paste and massage it and wash it off.
5. Got an aloe-vera plant at home?
Rather than buying expensive de-tanning gels try applying that aloe sap directly on your face! Massage it and wash it off.
