The Broken Scooter Photo Contest #1 has been quite fun. Some really good photographers participated via email and this only showed the interest that they evinced when they got a chance to capture their city. Finally, here are the two winning photographs along with the rest of the photos that made it to the finals.

One fine afternoon at Dhauli by Arpan Bhowmick- The picture is very artistic. The photographer has captured the evening mood very rightly along with marvelous cloud formation in the sky. Also dhauli has many stories to tell about the glorious past of King Ashoka.

Couple at the beach – Chandrabhaga by Santosh Pati – Again the photographer here captured the evening mood. The girl is clicking a photograph of her relative or may be her boy friend , may be her husband, or may be her brother, but Chandrabhaga beach is as famous as the Konark temple and numerous tourists visit this place for calmness and tranquility of this beach.

This photograph below deserves a special mention by our team. It comes across as haunting and serene at the same time. The melancholy and the hope which are complete contrasts are captured perfectly in this image. A perfect capture by Nrapen Sipani.

The Broken Scooter Photo Contest #1 – Framing My City was an online photography competition which celebrated the colors, stories and contrasts of Life in a city and around. We received some amazing entries from shutterbugs across India. We are honored to feature the best photographs which we received during the due course of the contest.
