This open letter is a mere rambling of a wannabe fan our people came across at the Xpressions.

Dear Lucky Ali,

We are fans of dhin-chak music. We would love to see Himesh Reshammiya perform jhalak Dikhlaja rather than listen to dil gaaye jaa or some unknown song of yours from some unknown album. We walked out from the concert disappointed to hear weird angrezi tracks like No woman No cry and zombie. We wanted “good” commercial music like ik pal ka jeena, but you let us down. You sang hairat also but they were saying you did a  “blues” version of it. Whatever “red or blue” it didn’t sound “rock enough” and since we are dudes and dudesses(is that a word) of bhubaneswar we listen to raack muzic.

We really hope XIMB guys bring HR next year. He is the real i who can swoon any girl specially my gyaalfriend. We are in same college and she didn’t like your concert. She likes umrao jaan  from Damadamm more.

Yours Truly,

A Real Raack fan

PS : It was disappointing to see people walk away from the performance. It was blatant dis-respect to the artist concerned which is what we feel.
Despite all this, the city crowd is still a  hypocrite enough to complain that it did not do a la Noida. We also overheard a couple talking “kya bore hai be, isse acha himesh gaata hai”. We really hope you  are reading this post, both of you. So that, you could re-evaluate your standards or wait, maybe you would do the otherwise. That is, roam around shamelessly saying that you were written about by the Broken Scooter.
