1)  The SAC or the Student Activity Center

The Real Activity in SAC

As the name suggests, a lot of activity (including checking out girls) takes place here.

This includes the canteen. Usually the students crowd here in the morning for the vada, dahi vada, upma and all.  For the angrezs, those who prefer patties and burgers, Ranjan bhaina’s dokan is the place. He also keeps a stock of packet food, chips and cold drinks but the major attraction for this place is the Maggie that he makes.

Adjacent to his store, on both sides are two more khatti spots and they are the Xerox shop and the stationary shop.

2)  No college is complete without a boys’ exclusive khatti spot. The place where all the studs/dudes come, park their bikes with “attitude” and (of course) look at girls.

3) Apart from the SAC area, the one place that everyone loves to sit is the long cemented row beneath the towering trees. This area is basically the parking space for faculty members. It’s a boon because when bunking, the students actually hide behind the SUVs. This area is the top preference during internals. Study less; “khatti” more…

PS: Less space (sarcasm), more people and hence students don’t actually need a place to chitchat. The back benches, any classroom without a teacher or just on the stairs; Khatti doesn’t actually need a place to start. It just needs two CETians pissed off at something to convert a conversation into khatti !
